Awake For You

I can't stand the sight
With your hair a mess and your eyes wide shut.
We can't breath here
But you choose to stay
And there's nothing for me anymore.
Submerged in patience
I await
I'm awake
But you can't see me.
It's not what we've done
Although I've tried to fix our mess.
We made it together.
Out of misery our hope remains
And I can't wait much longer.
Because the clock will always tick
Our hearts will always beat
It's my time to be selfish.
